In true procrastinating manner here's a rare post! The end of 2023 was fascinating to say the least. Covid struck unexpectedly and I spent close to two weeks isolating and recovering. Just in time to play one last round for 2023 on new year eve-eve. Felt some post covid fatigue towards the end of the round but still managed a respectable score.
Looking back, I was quite pleased to achieve a better short game overall in 2023 (there was that one bunker shot that derailed my otherwise nice looking score card. Took 3 shots to escape a silly fairway bunker). Chipping has become more consistent and I finally feel like I own my chipping as opposed to the chip and hope approach before.
The dreaded overswing and early extension is still present in the golf swing and this continues to cause inconsistent shots. I am hoping to groove these out sometime in the new year.
