Plenty of updates to come in due course.
But first, day 1 gets underway and an unexpected player on the Asian tour takes the club house lead. Swede Rikard Karlberg was out in the 1st group teeing off from the 1st tee and his flawless round of 7 under was enough to set pace, early.
The weather was hot and the sun was scorching. Playing conditions were good until the sound of rumbling thunder suspended play after 1pm. Play resumed later after 3 and the crowd had reduced considerably by then but I still had a fantastic day seeing the stars in action and getting autographs.
